Our Story...

Her Story

I'm the city girl who fell hard for the Midwest boy.  Originally from Chicago, I ventured to the East Coast after law school to start my career at a quintessential D.C. law firm.  D.C. treated me well and many a friendship was formed during my time in "big law," but after several years family drew me home to the Second City.  I have a passion for traveling (New Zealand and Tanzania top the list so far), but when closer to home you'll most likely find me spending time with (and perhaps spoiling) my niece and nephews, exploring living lakeside with my dog Zoe (also admittedly spoiled), and otherwise taking in the best of the city with family and friends.

His Story

I'm just a guy who met a girl who changed his life . . . or something like that.  I'm from a small Indiana town and have spent most of my life at Purdue University, earning degrees and after that, earning a little bit of money.  I moved to Arkansas to do the "professor" thing for a year, but I found myself drawn back to Boiler country.  I love travel, theater, and just about anything that could be considered "nerdy."

Our Story

So how did an Indiana boy meet a Chicago girl?  eHarmony struck three times for the Talati sisters!  (eHarmony ad, anyone?) A connection was made through sparkling prose, carefully curated images, and tales of self-inflicted injuries in late 2016. We first met on January 15, 2017 at a Starbucks and haven't stopped talking to each other since those first cups of coffee. One year later, on January 15, 2018 we were engaged on Harmony of the Seas, Jessica's first cruise.  Chris, assuredly by accident, popped the question at the onboard Starbucks.
